Ken Hurst

President

Starting in 1978 as a field technician, and ultimately earning the BICSI Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) credential, Ken Hurst has been in the communications industry for nearly 40 years. He is the founder of Valley Communications, Inc. and remains the sole owner of the corporation.

For the last 34 years, Ken has successfully grown VCI to become a premier integrated technology organization with an excellent management team, who average over 18 years with the company. VCI continues to strive for success by delivering the highest level of professionalism, quality craftsmanship, and integrity its customers have come to expect.

As President of VCI, Ken takes a hands-on approach by identifying which target markets to position in, managing the overall financial well-being of the corporation, aligning VCI with key manufacturers, and negotiating contracts with distributors and clients.

Jeff Frydenlund

Executive Vice President

Jeff Frydenlund brings over 20 years of experience in the communications industry to Valley Communications, Inc. Since joining the team in 2005, Jeff has utilized his expertise in Sales, Marketing, Estimating, and Design/Build Services to expand VCI’s offerings to what they are today.

As the Executive Vice President, Jeff is the leader of all design efforts for VCI. With Sales, Engineering, and Estimating Departments reporting directly to him, he primarily insures the constructability of an entire project while insuring that the customers’ expectations are being met, at the agreed upon cost. Among these roles, Jeff also maintains the technical direction of the company.

Kate DeWitt

Vice President Finance | Chief Financial Officer

Kate DeWitt has over 28 years of diverse financial and operational experience in both private and public technology industries, with the last 15 years dedicated to Valley Communications, Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer.

As the Chief Financial Officer, Kate is responsible for all accounting and treasury functions including cash and asset management, lines of credit, debt and equity financing, reporting, and aggressive tax strategies. With an operations focus, Kate puts an emphasis on management development and strategic planning.

Michael Cordisco

Operations Manager

Michael Cordisco began his employment at Valley Communications, Inc. over 27 years ago. Through his tenure, Michael has gained the valuable experience in all the fields that he manages; which includes managing and scheduling all technicians as well as general oversight of the purchasing and warehouse departments.
