Structured Cabling Technician

Responsibilities
– Able to provide excellent customer service at all times
– Able to work well with others as a team and ask questions as needed
– Able to test, install, terminate, newly installed or updated four pair wire to ensure that it functions properly and conforms to TIA-568B or TIA-568A telecommunications standards
– Able to inspect equipment to insure proper functioning
– Able to install and replace equipment to upgrade telephone wires, switching systems components and associated equipment
– Able to terminate cables, using hand tools, epoxy or mechanical equipment
– Able to access specific areas to string lines, using boom lifts or by climbing ladders to enter crawl spaces
– Able to read job specific blue prints and schematics
– Able to extend circuits
– Able to install and connectorize fiber

 

Applicants Must
– Possess Right to Work Documents: Including valid ID & Social Security Card
– DMV record and proof of insurance
– Be 18 years and older
– Have Reliable Transportation, to travel to and from job sites using own car
– Be able to Pass Drug Test and Background Check

Security Management Systems Technician

Position Overview
Under minimal supervision, the Security Management Systems Technician will be responsible for providing on-site installation of security systems equipment including control panels, power supplies, alarm and access control devices, camera systems, intercom systems, displays, and other related devices for a complete project installation.

 

Responsibilities
– Mounting control panels, cameras, access control and intrusion devices, etc. in a commercial environment
– Programming of security systems software
– Configuring client software on customer computers
– Providing customer training on the use and administration of their security systems
– Reading architectural plans and schematic line drawings accurately
– Installing, terminating and labeling various types of cables in control panels
– Problem solving and troubleshooting

 

Preferred Skills
– Experience with the following systems: S2 Security, AMAG, Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec, DMP, Exacqvision, Axis
– Ability to configure IP devices on a network (cameras, control panels, etc.)
– Experience marking up and maintaining field drawings for conversion to as-built
– Successful history of programming, testing and commissioning completed security systems
– Fundamental understanding of network systems and IP address schemes
– Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, employees, vendors and management
– Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities
– Project management

Audio Visual Systems Technician

Position Overview
Under minimal supervision, the Audio Visual Systems Technician will be responsible for providing on site installation of audio visual equipment, projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, wall plates, cable and other similar devices for a complete project installation.

 

Responsibilities
– Mounting displays, projectors, speakers, etc. in a commercial environment
– Installing, terminating and labeling various types of cables in equipment racks
– Loading configuration/GUI files for control systems and touch panels
– Configuring video conferencing equipment, control systems and audio processors
– Reading architectural plans and schematic line drawings accurately
– Problem solving and troubleshooting

 

Preferred Skills
– Ability to configure user interfaces for Extron control systems
– Experience marking up and maintaining field drawings for conversion to as-built
– Successful history of calibrating, testing and commissioning completed AV systems
– Fundamental understanding of network systems and IP address schemes
– Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, employees, vendors and management
– Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities
– Project management
